Lebanon, PA -
The United Rentals branch in Lebanon has made a substantial donation of equipment and contractor supplies to Habitat for Humanity of Lebanon County, according to Pam Tricamo, the chapter's executive director. The company has donated construction equipment, including a Multiquip portable generator and a JLG® variable reach forklift, as well as professional contractor supplies to the Habitat chapter, which is one of 130 affiliates nationwide participating in the National Builders Association's "National Builders Blitz."
In addition, United Rentals employees will volunteer at the Blitz build along with professional contractors on Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 9. The Lebanon house will be one of 400 homes constructed nationally during the event.
"Our company is pleased to provide Habitat for Humanity with equipment and contractor supplies that will help improve the quality of life for area residents," said Bruce Ure, branch manager. "United Rentals is proud to take an active role in supporting and improving the communities where we live and work. Habitat for Humanity shares our belief that actions can speak louder than words."
United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental company, also sells a full range of contractor supplies at its branches.
"United Rentals' gift speaks to the company's generosity and to the 'we are all our brother's keeper' philosophy of Habitat for Humanity," said Tricamo. "These supplies will support our work with families to help them help themselves to rebuild their lives, their homes and their communities."
